CHRISTCHURCH CLUB

JUNIOR CREWS RACE

The Christchurch Yacht Club held a junior race over the Hedcliffs course on Saturday afternoon. Eight started. A fresh north-east wind and a strong ebb tide made the general conditions heavy, but all the Junior crews handled their boats well and an excellent race resulted. Results - —Hinewai (A. Fielding), handicap 9min—3hrs 49min lOsec, 1; Valada (O. Gough), Bmin—3hrs 49min 39sec, 2; Nimrod (B. Lamb), lmin—3hrs 51min lOsec, 3; Nike (J. Cuthbert), 7min—3min 52min 57sec, 3; Playmate (P. Lamb), 7min—3hrs 53min 50sec; Rawene (W. Kier), scr—3hrs 55min 50sec.

HANDICAP EVENTS AT LYTTELTON

Handicap races in four classes were held at Lyttelton by the Canterbury Yacht and Motor-Boat Club on Saturday in a strong north-easterly wind and a rather heavy sea. The only mishap was the capsize of one of the I class boats. Results were:—

SANDERS CUP TRIAL AT DUNEDIN

(PS ESS ASSOCIATIOS TELIQBAM.) DUNEDIN, November 14. The first Sanders Cup trial was sailei in a good breeze yesterday afternoon, and was won by Val. Eileen was second and Evelyn third.
