England defeated Australia In the second Rugby League test match by 13 points to 3, after leading at halftime by 3 points to 0. The day was bright and sunny. The ground was hard. Norval did not play. Pierce received an injury to his head and was carried off. He later resumed play. The first score came from a fine try by the Salford men, Watkins, Jenkins, Hudson, Risman, and Edwards, after 31 minutes. Risman failed with the kick. England 3, Australia 0. A minute later, Beaton failed with a long range kick. After a great move by the backs, Brogden flew for the line. Ward tackled him Into touciwn-
goal. Risman failed with a kick from three yards inside the halfway line, but succeeded a minute later. England 5, Australia 0. Prigg passed the ball to B. Williams, who kicked. Heidke followed up. secured the ball, and passed to Reardon, who made a great run but was downed on the line. He flung the ball to Dawson, who scored. Beaton failed with the kick. England 5, Australia 3.
Risman failed with a long shot. Edwards scored his second try from a passing movement, although the last pass seemed forward. With 30 minute* to go, Risman scored a great goal.
