0 The Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed the first three heats of the qualifying round for the championship on Saturday at Victoria Lake. The wind was strong from the north-east. Thirteen boats competed. The following were the results :
Section A—First heat: B. George's Blue Bird 1, R. G. Munro's Dolphin 2, W. S. Kingston's Sans Atout 3, R. Reid's Banshee 4, B. Wall's Sure 5. Time. 26Jmin. Second heat: Dolphin 1, Blue Bird 2, Sans Atout 3, Banshee 4, Sure 5. Time, 28imin.
