PIGEON FLYING

SUMNER CLUB

The Sumner Pigeon Flying Club recently flew a successful race from Kaikoura. The winning bird was Dumfries, owned by Miss L. Ford. The Oamaru race resulted:—T. Campion 1, G. Wilson 2, J. Clark 3. The Blenheim race resulted:—T. Campion 1, A. Summerton 2, J. Clark 3, and D. Lipscombe. G. Wilson, Miss L. Ford, and H. C. Ford in that order. At a committee meeting it was decided to continue the north races as far as the Upper Hutt, Mr H. C| Ford to make inquiries and arrange the flights. Messrs F. Vincent and P. Roberts were nominated for membership and another name was nominated for enrolment at the next meeting. Mr Ford was deputed to arrange for loft measurements.
