PLUNKET SOCIETY
NEW BRIGHTON SUBBRANCH
The monthly meeting of the New Brighton sub-branch of the Plunket Society was held at the home of the secretary, Mrs S. J. Delamain. Mis E. I-. Smith presided. The resignations of Mr and Mrs W. Flavel were received with regret, and their valuable work for the society will be recorded. The nurse's report stated that 152 babies and 154 mothers had visited the rooms, and 31 home visits had been paid. Although whooping cough was prevalent in the district, only a few of the Plunket babies had contracted it.
OPAWA-ST. MARTIN'S
The monthly meeting of the OpawaSt Martins sub-branch of the Plunket Society was held at Mrs D. E. Hansen's home, and Mrs W. S. Newfaurgn presided over a good attendance o£ members. For Opawa, Nurse Harman reported that she had paid 14 visits to homes and 79 adults and 79 babies had visited the rooms. Nurse Bowron reported that 84 adults and 84 babies had been attended at the St. Martins rooms. The resignation from the committee of Mrs J. H. Kane was accepted with regret -
