Another of the Canterbury Amateur Cvcllng Centre’s evening meetings was hold at English Park last evening. Following were the results: — ■One Mile. Open—N. Murray (220 yds) 1 B. N. Evans (220 yds) 2, G. L. Thompson (ser) 3. Time, 2min 9 l-ssec. Half-mile Open—G. R. Giles (scr) 1, G. L. Thompson (15yds) 2, J. C. Murray (scr) 3 Time, 64 3-ssec. Half-mile, Junior—"W. Murray (100 yds) 1, R. Good (75yds) 2. D. Wilson (scr) 3. Time, 65 l-ssec.
NOVICE RACE
The third of a series of road cycle races tor novice riders was held on Thursday Good performances were given by several new riders. R. Kinnard rode well uupaced, and gained first place. The course was twice round a block of three and a half miles.
Results were as follows:—R. Kinnard (21min), I9mln 36sec, 1; J. Power (Imln), 18min 15sec, 2: R. Yansen (Jmin), 18min Isec, 3; H. Pearse (Umin), 18mln 32seo. 4; C. Kelso (2mlO), 18min 50sec, 5; S. Cain (2min), 19mln sGsec, 6; F. Hawes (sclr). 19min Msec, 7; W. Ellis (Jmin), 19mln 44 l-ssec, 8. The fastest time was secured by Yansen
