Mrs H. J. W. Knights presided at the September meeting of the Rakaia branch of the Mothers’ Union, heldm St Mark’s Schoolroom recently. Tne meeting was preceded by a service in St Mark’s Church conducted by Canon H. J. W. Knights. An interesting address was given by Mrs Marion (Dominion president of the Mothers Union) on ‘‘The Birth of the Mothers Union and its Founder. Mary Somers. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames fl. Hopwood and Haslett.
