Dr. vies (New South WaJe.s) by 2 and 1. Other amateur results were as follows:—M. J. Ryan (Victoria) beat T. S. McKay (New South Wales), 11 and 10; T. Tanner (New South Wales) beat A. V. Rae (Victoria), 5 and 4; H. L. Williams (Victoria) beat F. E. Headlam (New South Wales), 7 and t>. The main surprise in the professional matches was the elimination of N. G. von Nida (New South Wales) by Eric Cremin (New South Wales) by 4 and 3. Other professional results were: —T. Booth (New South Wales) beat A.- C. Howard (New South Wales). 6 and 5; V. S. Richardson (New South Wales) beat H. Thomson (New South Wales), 4 and 3; O. Walker (Queensland) beat W. J. Bolger (New South Wales) at the thirty-ninth.
