FASHION PARADE
MUSIC AND DRAMA A very enjoyable programme, which included a mannequin parade, a musical programme and a play, was presented yesterday afternoon at a gathering of members of the Catholic Women's League, held in the league's rooms, Stewart Dawsons* building. The entertainment was made possible by the courtesy and kindness of Mr J. L. Hay, and was greatly appreciated by the audience. Those who acted as mannequins were Mrs A. J. Malley, Mrs Consedine, Misses Betty Tapper, Joan Evans, Ivy Duffin, and Beatrice Stevens, Songs were sung by Misses Molly Maxwell and Beryl Rose. Mr John Murie recited, and a play was presented by Hay's drama group, in which parts were played by Miss Marie Buchanan, Messrs Jack Helme, and Dudley Carter. Mr Reg Peddi was accompanist for the singers, and also played appropriate music during the fashion parade,
