HIGHER LAMB KILLINGS

FIGURES FOR ELEVEN MONTHS HEAVIER NORTH ISLAND SUPPLY Figures supplied by the Meat Producers' Board of export killings at all New Zealand works for the 11 months from October 1, 1936, to August 31, 1937, show that in spi'e of a decrease of lamb killings in the South Island the total for the Dominion has risen by 394,541 carcases. Chilled beef has shown an increase of 47,486 quarters, and frozen beef has also increased. Wether mutton is down on last year, but more ewes have been killed. The figures are as follows: —

WAIPAPA BEACH (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, September 13. The Waipapa Beach return totalled Boz 14dwt for 133 hours. MILBURN LIME (rUESfI ASSOCIATION TELEOBAM.) DUNEDIN, September 13. At a meeting of shareholders in the Milburn Lime and Cement Company, Ltd.. the annual report and balancesheet were adopted. The adoption of the report carried with it the payment of a dividend of 8J per cent, for the year. . MATAKI (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, September 13. The Mataki return for the week ended September 12 was 270z for 129 hours' work and 9000 yards. MOLYNEUX (I'RESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN. September 13. The Molyneux Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 51oz of gold for the two weeks ended September 11, for 242 hours' work.
