Mr and Mrs J. Nelson. Sumner road, left yesterday by the Mataroa for Wellington, where they will spend a holiday with their two sons. Magistrate's Conrt At the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.. Thomas Bell for riding a motor-cycle at Governor's Bay without possessing a certificate of fitness, was convicted and fined 5s and ordered to pay costs us. For riding an unlicensed motor-cycle, he was convicted and ordered to pay costs, 12s. Plunket Appeal The annual street appeal and sale of flowers and produce, held yesterday in aid of the funds of the Lyttelton Plunket Society, resulted in the sum of £3O being raised. Competitions arranged at the flower stall were won by Miss Colleen Herdman and Mrs b.
