CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIP The sixth game in the first round of the Canterbury amateur billiards championship was played last night at the Richmond Working Men’s Club between G. Gilds (Sydenham Library) and H. Shaw (Automobile Association). The match was won by Giles by 300 points to 165. The best breaks by Giles were 22, 25. 20, and 37 (unfinished), and Shaw’s best break was 20. The referee was Mr J. Black. A championship match will be played to-r.-"'rrnw between J. Kearns (Police) and R. McKay (Returned Soldiers’ Association) at the Lyttelton Club.
