ORGANISED LABOUR IN U.S.A.
PRESIDENT STATES ATTITUDE t (Received July 11, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, July 9. President Roosevelt has issued a statement that the Federal Government will not oppose its employees' joining the Committee of Industrial Organisation, but will not participate in collective bargaining with it.
Mr Roosevelt stated that the Government would assume the same attitude to Government employees unions under the American Federation of Labour. Executive recognition would not be granted to either body.
