AIR LINER CRASHES IN FIELD
OCCUPANTS SAVED BY FARMERS
LONDON. July 4. Allied Airways' twin-engined airliner, Silver Ghost, rrashed and burst into flames after taking-off from Thurso for Aberdeen. A farmer and his son, who were working in a field, saved the lives of the pilot and seven passengers, including six women, by pulling the passengers out through the- emergency exit in the roof of the cabin. The last woman was hauled out by the neck. Her hair and her clothes were on lire. The aeroplane was destroyed.
