TEMPERANCE UNION
Victorian posies were presented to Mesdames Anstice, Draper, Fiebig, and Madill at the monthly meeting of the Linwood branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union recently. Mrs C. R. N. Mackie presided over a good attendance. _^ Mrs Nelson spoke on the "White Ribbon" and Miss Millicent Jennings addressed the meeting on "The Story of Plants and People." Miss Jennings was presented with a bouquet. The report of the monthly meeting of the Band of Hope showed a good attendance and creditable progress.
