L. N. RICHARDS THE WINNER

The Canterbury Amateur Cycling Centre's 25-mile championship, conducted on Saturday by the Yaldhurst Club. was won by L. N. Richards. The riders started at Islington and went to Rolleston, Aylesbury, West Melton, and return, finishing at Yaldhurst. L. N. Richards (lmin), of the Papanul Club, gained the championship and fastest time His time was 66mln 23sec. G. L. Thompson (Rangiora), off lmin, secured the second fastest time of 66min 23Jsec. A. J. Thomson (Technical), off 6min, won the handicap section in 69min losec. E. B. Dalzell (Technical), off the same mark, was second with 69min 15 2-ssec.

AVON CLLB CONDUCTS TWENTY-FIVE-MILE CONTEST

J. V. Martin won the 25-mile Canterbury amateur championship, which, conducted by the Avo~ Club, was held over a course from Mairehau to Woodend and ba'-k. Forty riders competed. .....
