B STATION "NOT FOR SALE"
AUCKLAND DIRECTOR ASKS FOR SUBSIDY
(I'UKaS ASISOCIATIOS Ttl.El,ttia.i AUCKLAND, July 2. The offer of the Government to purchase B class broadcasting stations has been declined by the management of IZJ, Auckland. The director, Mr A. C. Johns, informed the Postmaster-General (the Hon. F. Jones) that the station was not for sale and that he was anxious to retain the licence. He said the management of IZJ looked forward to receiving a subsidy commensurate with the service rendered by the station and in line with statements made from time to time by the Government.
