BRITISH CYCLISTS TO TOUR AUSTRALIA
FAREWELL BY MR MALCOLM MACDONALD
LONDON, July 1. Equipped with a tent, three sleeping bags, an axe, and £4O, J. Algar and W. Barber, both 22 years of age, and L. Cross, aged 25, left Downing street to cycle through Australia under the auspices of the Council of Empire Settlement. The Secretary of State for the Dominions (Mr Malcolm Mac Donald) bade them farewell at the Dominions Office. It is expected that the tour will take 18 months.
