CROSS DESTROYED BY EXPLOSIVES
IRISH REPUBLICAN MEMORIAL
(Received July 2, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 1. A 12-foot Republican memorial cross erected in 1912 in memory of "Those who died for the freedom of Ireland," was blown up with gelignite at the Milltown cemetery, Belfast. Beneath it was buried a Republican who was executed by Free State supporters
