* "The Ancient American Civilisations —Forgotten Empires," was the subject of an address by Mr,D. S. Walker r.t a meeting held under the auspices of the Christchurch Federated Debating Clubs. He expressed the opinion that traces of the oldest civilisations the world had known were to be found in both North and South America. Mr W. J. Jessett presided.
