Mr and Mrs Gordon McCredie (Fendalton) will leave Christchurch on Thursday night for Wellington to join the Wanganella for a trip to Sydney. Mrs W. H. Trengrove (Cambridge terrace) will leave to-morrow night for a world tour. Mrs M. Rutherford (Adelaide) will arrive in New Zealand by the Wanganella to-day and is expected in Christchurch to-morrow morning. She will spend a few days with Mrs Arthur Thomson, Montreal street, before going to North Canterbury, to visit her son, Mr T. Rutherford, "Iffley," Waikari. Mrs A. W. Andrew (Cashmere Hills) and her daughter, Mrs James Ensor, Garrymere, North Canterbury, are spending a fortnight at the Lodge, Hanmer Springs. Miss Margaret. Robinson (Te Maire, Waipukurau), who is the guest of Mrs J. H. Williams (Heaton street), will leave to-day to visit Mrs T. C. Robinson, Mount Palm. Mrs Charles Murray (Wharanui), her daughter, Mrs Parker Westenra (Rossmore, Seddon), and her daugh-ter-in-law, Mrs Rawei Murray (Seddon), are guests at Warwick House. Mr and Mrs Harold Barker (Fendalton), who are visiting Britain, will leave on their return journey next month, and are due in Auckland on August 12. Mrs M. Reeves, Miss Patience Reeves, and Miss Mary Hamilton (Papanui road) are spending a holiday at Peel Forest. Mr and Mrs Percy Morse (Hanmer Springs) are amongst the guests at Warwick House. Mr and Mrs A. C. Nichols (Maheno, South Canterbury) will leave Christchurch on Thursday for Wellington to join the Wanganella for a trip to Australia and Tasmania. Mrs Hugh Ensor (Double Hill) is visiting Christchurch, and is staying at Warwick House. Miss Nancy Hughes, who has spent the last 16 months touring Great Britain and the Continent, is expected to arrive in the Dominion this week. She hopes to pay a short visit to her brother, Mr R. W. Hughes, Hanmer Springs, before commencing her duties as charge nurse at the Plunket rooms, Wellington. Misses Isabel Purse, Ada Menzies, June McGregor, June Morgan, Marjorie Webb, Catherine Bowles, Nancy Stevenson, Evelyn Howett, Shirley Higgins, Alice Mcintosh Robinson, Lola Cox, Peggy Storrar, Trixie Dunlop, Muriel Soanes, Jean Smith, Marjorie Wood, Joyce Jennings, Brenda Gimson, and Eileen Maher will be debutantes at the High School Old Girls' dance next week. Dr. and Mrs Gilmour. McLachlan returned to Seacliff last week after spending three months in churchMr and Mrs Ramsay Howie left Dunedin yesterday en route to Auckland, where Mr Howie has been appointed assistant lecturer in music at the Auckland Training College. The Christchurch High School Old Girls' Association will hold its annual dance in the Caledonian Hall on Tuesday, June 15. Tickets are obtainable from the committee—Mesdames Glen, N. Bates, Misses E.
