* RANGER BEATS YANKEE IN THIRTY-MILE RACE (Received June 4, 12.5 a.m.) NEWPORT, June 3. The Ranger beat the Yankee by smin 56sec in a 30 mile race, one of a series of three to determine the defender of the America's Cup.
