"INADEQUATE FACILITIES"
SOUTHBRIDGE POST OFFICE
The very inadequate facilities offered to the public at the Southbridge Post Office are mentioned in a letter from/ the Southbridge Town Board to Mr H. E. Herring, M.P. The letter states that the present building offered no convenience whatever for people desiring to do Post Office business. There was only one lobby with a door in each side, and any person desiring to do private business must do so at the one counter with people standing beside him. The board considered that the Postal Department owed to the residents of the district much better facilities, and if a separate post office could not be provided,, the present arrangements at the railway station should tie greatly improved. Mr Herring has placed the complaint before the Postmaster-General (the Hon. F. Jones).
