SNOW SHIELD MATCH CHRIST'S COLLEGE WINS AGAIN Christ's College retained the Snow Cadet Challenge Shield in its annual match with Christchurch Boys' High School at Redcliffs rifle range yesterday. The match is a platoon attack against an enemy represented by 24 plates. The weather was ideal for the match, being overcast with a slight head wind. The plates were easily seen.. Boys' High School, which won the toss, had the clearer vision of the target; but Christ's College occupied the better tactica' position. Captain K. J. Walker. N.Z.S.C., was chief umpire. Lieutenant F. Mcintosh, M.C..-N.Z.S.C, end Lieutenant J? B. White, N.Z.S.C, were teams' umP Declaring Christ's College the winner. Captain Walker said though Boys High School had given a fine exhibition, Christ's College had put all its plates down and had returned a quantity of ammunition. Captain Walker complimented the platoon commander of the Christ's College team whose strategic knowledge, he said, far exceeded Snow Shield requirements. The match had fully maintained the standard of recent years.
