A TEST BROADCAST
TO TEE EDITOR Of TIM PRESS. Sir, —About a week ago there was a notice in "The Press" in which listeners were asked to report upon the reception experienced during a broadcast from 2ZB last Sunday evening (April 18). The frequency given is 1120 kilocycles. Now, 3YL, the Christchurch auxiliary station, is nominally 1200, but on my set I get the best results at 1140, a number which clashes with 2ZB and very nearly drowns it, but not quite. I should be glad to know whether this has been the experience of all Christchurch listeners. Another point I should like to mention is that'l think it is a pity the B stations and numbers are not given in the broadcasting notices, Could not this be done, say, on Saturdays? Also, why should the public nqt be acquainted with the programmes to be broadcast by these stations?— Yours, 6tC " A LISTENER. April 24, 1937.
