CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED MURDER

(press association telegram.) , WANGANUI, April 20, Charged with attempted murder, Charles Henry Bourne, aged 26, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court this morning; On the request of DetectiveSergeant Robertson, the accused was remanded until April 29. ' The charge is a sequel to an altercation at Castlecliff yesterday over the occupancy of a house. A violent quarrel developed, during which, if is stated, a gun was discharged, the shot narrowly missing Ernest de Tourett, of Wanganui. , Subsequently the accused surrendered himself to the police.
