KAKANGA BRINGING SLAG The Shaw, Savill Company has been advised that the steamer Raranga left Antwerp on Saturday morning with a cargo of basic slag for discharge at Auckland and New Plymouth. Coming by way of tlie Cape of Good Hope, she is due at Auckland about March 10. PASSENGERS FOR LONDON The Blue Star liner Trojan Star left Wellington on Tuesday night for London, via Panama. She carried the following passengers: Miss K. A. Gray, Mr and Mrs N, Levi, Mr L. Levi, Mrs A. Kidd, Major and Mrs A. E. Levin, Mr E. H. Levin, Mr and Mrs S. Griffin, Dr. E. W. Griffiths (acting ship’s surgeon). PASSENGERS BY PORT ALMA The Port Line motor-ship Port Alma left Wellington on Wednesday for London, via Cape Horn and Teneriffe. Captain S. Oswald has arrived in Wellington to take command of the Taranaki. Captain T. V. Roberts has command of the Shaw, Savill Company's new passenger liner Arawa, which left Southampton on January 22 for Wellington and Lyttelton, and is due here on February 28. Captain Roberts last visited New Zealand some five or six years ago, as master of the Shaw, Savill steamer Waimana. Since then he has been in the Bay liners, first in the Hobson's Bay and later in the Largs Bay.
