RUSSIAN PURCHASES FROM BRITAIN
£4,000,000 TO BE SPENT ON MACHINERY (Received January 12, 5,5 p.m.) LONDON. January 11. The Soviet recently placed orders in Britain to the value of £4,000,000, chiefly for electrical equipment, a dry dock of 25,000 tons lifting capacity, machines, tools, and equipment for steamships.
