RECORD YEAR FOR PORT OF SYDNEY

(Received January 12, 5.5 p.m.) , SYDNEY, January 12. The aggregate gross tonnage of vessels which entered the Port of Sydney in 1936 was 18,610,617, a record. • Figures issued by the Maritime Services Board showed that 7064 vessels entered the port. This was an increase of 51 over 1935. The gross tonnage aggregate showed an increase of 655,441 on the figures for 1935.
