A GATHERING OF SURGEONS
SEVERAL DISTINGUISHED MEN TO ATTEND [THB PBBSS BpecUl Service.] AUCKLAND, January 12. More than 120 surgeons from various parts of Australia and New Zealand will attend the tenth annual meeting of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons at Auckland, which will begin on Tuesday, Januar- 19, and will conclude on January 23. Several distinguished men will be numbered among the gathering. New fellows will be admitted, and the fifth George Adlington Syme oration will be delivered by Professor C. E. Hercus. of Dunedin, who has chosen "Prevention and Research in Relation to Surgery" as his subject. The remainder of the schedule will be devoted to business meetings and scientific meetings, at which clinical demonstrations and lectures will be delivered.
