WATERSIDERS' STOP-WORK MEETING (I'BESS ASSOCIATION TELEGEAiI.) AUCKLAND, January 12. No work was done on the Auckland waterfront this morning, when the waterside workers held a stopwork meeting to discuss the proposed new agreement between the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Federation, and the employers of waterside labour. The meeting lasted for four hours, and it was decided to hold a ballot on tite question. Although the men resumed work at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, some delay was caused in .the working of the cargo, and one result was that the Awatea departed for Sydney later than her scheduled time of 8 p.m., leaving port about 11 o'clock.
