LITTLE ACTIVITY IN HOLIDAYS SEVEN MEN GIVEN PERMANENT WORK Only seven men have been placed in permanent positions during the last three weeks by the Greymouth Placement Office, because of the lack of work offering during the holiday period. The total number of placements was 11, and this included, besides the permanent placements, two youths who secured permanent work as dredge hands, and two men who found temporary employment.
