DAILY NEWSPAPERS
V SUBSCRIPTION DISCOUNT WITHDRAWN At a meeting of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association, held in Wellington, it was decided that the discount of threepence on the weekly subscription to the daily newspaper be withdrawn from January 1, 1937. The alteration is due to tht greatly increased costs of production in conjunction with an advance in the price of newsprint, which takes effect from the beginning of the year.
