MESSAGE TO THE KING
♦ BIRTH OF DAUGHTER TO DUCHESS OF KENT (press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, December 28.. The Governor-General (Lord Galway) has sent the following message to the King, on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand:— "I beg to express to your Majesty, with my humble duty, the great interest which is felt in the announcement of the birth of a daughter to her Royal Highness the Duchess of Kent, and to offer the respectful congratulations of your Majesty's subjects in this Dominion on the happy event."
