CAMPAIGN FOR UNITY OF EMPIRE
♦: EIGHT POINTS OF POLICY LONDON, December 5. Mr L. S. Amery, MP., president of the Chamberlain Centenary Committee, sets out the eight points of policy of the Empire Unity Campaign in a statement just issued. The campaign was inaugurated at a Royal Albert Hall meeting on July 8, and was opened recently. The points are: Promotion of the ideal of Empire unity as essential to our security and prosperity, and to world peace. Policy of reciprocal preference between Empire countries. Domestic tariff policy to secure the largest volume of steady employment in the United. Kingdom. More effective use of British finance for the development of production and employment at home and overseas. Steps to link fiscal and financial co-operation with migration. Preservation and increase of British shipping and air communications. , , . Coherent defence policy with immediate concentration on the cooperative development of air-power and naval defence. Resistance to all proposals for the transfer of territory from the British to any other flag.
