ORCHESTRA FORMED IN PALESTINE
REFUGEE MUSICIANS FROM GERMANY JERUSALEM, December 27. Signor Toscanini, one of the world's most famous conductors, who has emerged from retirement, has arrived to conduct a performance by the Palestine Syniph,of)y r? Orchestra, which has been formed by. i the violinist Dronislaw Huberman j from refugee Jewish musicians from' I Germany and elsewhere in Europe. Huherman carefully selected 70 musicians, aged from 28 to 30. He declared that the orchestra will be- | come one of the best in the world. The first tour will be in Palestine and Egypt. The •first performance, on December 30, will be broadcast to America.
