COLLAPSE AT RACES
DEATH OF MR J, F. WILSON Mr J. F. Wilson, of 102 Somerfleld street, collapsed and died on the Riccarton racecoures on Saturday afternoon. His collapse occurred immediately after the running of the Metropolitan Handicap, which was won by Argentic, a horse owned by his sister, Miss M. C. Wilson, of Westport. Mr Wilson was formerly headmaster of the North Beach School, and had been'at Somerfleld about seven years. He was a member of the Somerfleld Burgesses’ Association, holding the office of treasurer. It is understood that he had not been in good health for some time. He leaves a widow.
