IMPROVING RUSSIA’S FLOCKS

* ENQUIRY FOR AUSTRALIAN MERINOS LONDON, November 13. The Australian Associated Press learns that Russian agents have approached the Australian headquarters in London on the subject of purchasing merinos for cross-breed-ing. The Soviet’s determination to strengthen its flocks is demonstrated by the heavy buying of British stud sheep, of which a single consignment numbering 1650 was shipped to Russia a few days ago. This was the largest shipment which has ever left England.
