MINISTER RECEIVES MARCHERS

EMPLOYMENT REGULATIONS DISCUSSED LONDON, November 12. The unemployed marchers have won the fight to get a hearing of their cases. When they were received by the Minister for Labour (Mr Ernest Brown) they urged the withdrawal of the new employment assistance regulations which will operate on November 19. It was claimed that these regulations were grossly unfair. Mr Brown expressed the opinion that there had been a misunderstanding about the operation of the regulations, and he advised the men to give particulars of their cases to the local members of the House of Commons, who could pass them on to him. As the regulations were passed after careful consideration, he could hold out no hope of their withdrawal.
