NEW BRIGHTON HOME GARDENS
ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATION The president (Mr J. S. Ainsworth) presided at the annual meeting of the New Brighton Home Gardens and Beautifying Association, held m the New Brighton District High School. The annual report, which showed that the association had a financial membership of more than 50, ad TheT election ot officers resulted as follows; Patron, the Mayor, Mr E. L. Smith; president Mr 3.8 - Amswjrth vice-presidents, Mrs W. E. Messrs L. W. Hudson and J. N. Clarke, secretary. Mr B. H. Deans; treasurer, Mr A. E. Beardsley; committee, Mesdames H. O. Brooks and J. Bellamy, Messrs W. Carpenter, E. W. Chadwick, and Cain; honorary solicitor, Mr C. V. lister; honorary auditor, Mr A. B. W Mr°A, E. Beardsley gave notice of motion to move at the next meeting of thf committee: “That the name of the association be changed to the New Brighton- Horticultural Scuiety. Mr Ainsworth announced that the first judging in the hdme gardens comnetition would take place on Novem gfl* Se were 14 prizes for competition* 1
