HYPNOTISM AND CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
TO THE EDITOR OF TBE PHIBB Sir,—Writing as one who has been a student of Christian Science for many years and one who has a fair working understanding of its principles, may I suggest to those interested that the line of demarcation between pure Christian Science and mental suggestion is so thin that it may very easily be overlooked by the superficial thinker. The mere reading and repetition of a given formula i& self hypnotic in its influence. Pure Christian Science is devoid of human will power, devoid of hypnotic
influence: it relieves man of human influence and heredity taint, gives him a belter understanding of God. and leaves him resting in and sustained by the strength of universal love. The only matter that, exists is embodied in the carnal mind. This mind is a reflection at least” of the tree of good and evil. The difference between form and body is the material of which each is constructed. This mortal must put on immortality not in the hereafter but now is 5 fact in the clearness of pure Christian Science.— Youi's, etc., ANTI-HYPNOSIS. Motunau. November 10, 1936.
