FOUR TRAMPERS MISSING
ANXIETY FOR SYDNEY YOUTHS

SYDNEY. October 8,
Anxiety is felt for the safety of four young trampers, John Birmingham, aged 22, his brother, Gerald Birmingham, aged 17, John Rogers, aged 19. and Frederick Lane, aged 17, who have been lost in the foot - hills of the Blue Mountains since the week-end. They left their homes in Sydney on Saturday, tramping from Richmond to Blackheath, intending to return on Monday night, since when they have not been reported. Several aeroplanes and 150 men are at present searching.
