HARBOUR BOARD’S PROPOSALS

“As your committee understands that the District Railway Traffic Manager intends to submit proposals lor office accommodation for the board in the projected new Lyttelton railway station premises, we suggest that the question of improved Lyttelton office accommodation be deferred until the railway proposals assure definite form.” The above clause appeared in the report of the harbour Improvement committee, submitted to the meeting yesterday of the Lyttelton Harbour Board.

Mr H. M. Chrystall objected to any delay, and on his motion toe secretary was instructed to submit his repeat cm the proposal at toe next meeting of toe board.
