DEFENCE RIFLE SHOOTING

CHRISTCHURCH CLUB The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club opened its season at Tai Tapu on Saturday afternoon in fine weather. Shooting conditions were good'ahd several excellent scores were registered. H. Harries scored 101 off the rifle over the three ranges. O. Crimp, with 34 at 300 yards, H, Harries Bft at MO yards, and R. H. Neill 34 at 800 yards were the top scorers at the individual ranges. A match between teams selected by the president (Mr H. Reynolds! and deputy-president (Mr R. H. Nelli) was fired, and resulted in a win for the president’s team by one point, the scores being 1012 and 1011 respectively.
