SIGNING OF NEW TREATY

EGYPTIAN DELEGATION LEAVES FOR LONDON CAIRO, August 17. The Egyptian Prime Minister (Nahas Pasha) and other delegates have sailed from Alexandria foi England for the signing of the Egyptian Treaty with Britain. A statement from the Minister for Finance was read on the floor of the Stock Exchange dealing with the slump on the bourses caused by inaccurate reports regarding capitulations. The statement declared that no discrimination would be tolerated against foreigners, and that the apprehensions about the treaty were unjustified. The Egyptian delegation is expected to reach London on Sunday. Arrangements have been made for the delegates to stay at the Dorchester Hotel as the guests of the British Government, and a programme of hospitality is being arranged.
