PROCEEDINGS TAKEN IN
COMMITTEE
Several hours were occupied by the South Canterbury Electric Power Board yesterday discussing with six senior men of its districts, construction, maintenance, and inspection. Discussion also took place on the ret>lv to be sent to the chief electrical engineer of the Public Works Department (Mr F. T. M, Kissel), about the inspection of the earth systems in the board’s area. Proceedings were in committee, but subsequently a statement was issued to the press as follows: “This board having met its senior men, together with officers of the staff, and having asked certain questions and received certain replies, and the board having expressed certain opinions and given certain instructions, now asks that a comprehensive report on the staff, transport, additions and adjustments necessary to catch up with the work and keep it up, be made to the board.”
