NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE

SCHEME BEING PREPARED Details of a national health and superannuation insurance scheme are now being worked out by the Minister for Health (the Hon. Peter Fraser) and his staff, and the Government hopes to put the scheme on the statute book during the'next session of Parliament, according to a statement made bv the Minister for Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan),’ in an address at a meeting of the Lmwood branch of the Labour party last evening. The Minister said that the Government had definitely decided on a scheme to cover everybody in the country, making provision for the sick who were unable to earn their living. “I hope that this will be the best piece of legislation of its kind in the world.” said Mr Sullivan.
