AUCKLAND, July 4

Following a motor-car smash on the Waterfront road last night, Leslie Herbert Tong, aged 21, a labourer, was arrested early this morning and charged later, in the Police Court, with unlawfully converting a car, valued at £l9O, the property of the Taupiri Dairy Company, Ltd. On the application of the police, he was remanded until July 10.
