TAGGART—GCY At St. John’s Church, Latimer square, the wedding was celebrated recently oi Nora Sarah, daughter of the late Mrs Lilian Guy (Spring street, Riccartoh), and Russell Alexander, younger son of Mr R. Taggart (Upper Riccarton), and the late Mrs Taggart The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. J. Me William, and the organist was Mr C. Davies. The bride was escorted by her uncle, Mr E. B. Guy. Her frock of azure blue ring velvet had sequin trimmings, and she wore a blue velvet hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of hothouse flowers. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Hotel Federal, where the bride’s grandmother received the guests. COLLINS—ROWE The marriage of Miss Margaret Ann Rowe, only daughter of the late Mr R. Rowe and of Mrs W. Hutcheson (Southbridge), to Mr William Rex Collins, youngest son of the late Mr A. Collins and of Mrs Collins, Si Albans; was celebrated recently at St. John’s Church, Latimer square, by the Rev. H. G. Hawkins, Glenmark. Mr C. Davies was organist, and during the signing of the register Mrs C. Davies gave a solo. The bride was escorted by her brother, Mr W. A. Rowe. Her trained frock of ivory diagonal silk crepe was made with a yoke of witchcraft lace, bishop sleeves with inset puffs of lace, and a draped neckline. Her veil of tulle was embroidered in ivy-leaf design and held to the head with a cap of orange blossom, and she 1 carried an armlet of lilies, roses, and carnations. Miss Stella Schnelle, as bridesmaid, wore a cascade green cloque frock in lace design made with butterfly sleeves, slightly trained skirt, and Silver flowers at the neckline. Her halo headdress combined the two tones and tangerine flowers were arranged in her shower bouquet. Mr C. Douglas was best man. A reception was held at Dixieland, the guests being received by Mrs Hutcheson, -who wore a navy ensemble and navy felt hat, and carried a bouquet of red and gold chrysanthemums. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of wine wool marocain, a short moleskin coat and a hat to tone. Her flowers were gold chrysanthemums and abutilons. When Mr and Mrs W, R. Collins left for their wedding tour the bride was wearing a frock of lido blue wool georgette with trimmings of oyster-grey satin, a navy cloth coat, and a felt hat to match.

HOLLAND—HUNT Autumn foliage and gold, bronze, and cream chrysanthemums decorated the Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Timaru, for the marriage celebrated recently of Euphemia Joyce, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert E. Hunt, to Fredrick James, second son of Mr and Mrs F. G. Holland, both of Timaru. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E. L. Williams, and Mr J. D. Fraser was organist. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a frock of parchment French lace and silk net made with wide Marina sleeves and a square-cut neck yolk, the floral design being closely studded with rhinestones and sequins. Panels of tucked net were released below the hipline to form a bouffant skirt which showed beneath her long veil of Honiton lace. The veil was arranged in cap style with clusters of orange blossom at each side, and her sheaf was composed of winter roses and chrysanthemums. Misses Madge and Valerie Hunt, who attended their sister, wore blue georgette frocks made with bell sleeves, and half sashes looped at the back of the waistlines. Their halo head-dresses were of dull gold lame, and they carried gold and autumntinted chrysanthemums and abutilons. Mr Richard Holland, the bride's brother, was best man. Mr Allan Rose was groomsman, and Messrs J. Flanagan, A. Watson, and M. McDonald acted as ushers. .. At the reception held later the bride’s mother was wearing a wine and beige figured marocain frock, wine coat and a velour hat to tone. Her bouquet was of bronze chrysanthemums. Mrs Holland wore a navy tailored suit and a velour hat, and carried red anemones. For travelling, the bride wore a burgundy woollen suit, a navy blue tailored coat, and toque to maten, finished with a stiffened eye veil.
