THE RETURNED SOLDIERS
BANKS PENINSULA BRANCH
At the first annual meeting of the Peninsula Returned Soldiers' Association. the chairman. Mr H. J. Moore, presided. It was decided that a substitute be appointed to replace any member not being able to attend any meeting. It was decided to open a post office savings bank account, and the president and secretary were authorised to operate upon it. The competition for a travelling rug was won by Mr D. Kay, Duvauchelle. and the net proceeds of the competition were more than £lO. It was decided that the smoke concert be held on June 11. and not June 4 as previously arranged, and that a charge be made, and that each delegate advertise his own district. It was decided that the branch become a sub-branch. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr A. E. Williams; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr W. H. Priest; honorary auditor, Mr P. G. Riches; committee, Messrs H. J. Moore, J. G. Le Lievre, S. Gilbert, C. Marshall, E. Moore, A. McKay, C. B. Idle, J. C. Tikao, B. Swift, T. Mould, L. Brown, and H. Milligan.
